Hello! This group is for LGBT parents of Brooklyn! We want our children to be able to play with other children that have the same family dynamics as we do, without feeling "different", and sometimes we as parents need to unwind with others that "understand". So lets get together, when we can and have family fun!.

Families Like Ours of Jersey City (FLOJC) is a social network of Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender and Queer parents and parents-to-be in Jersey City, NJ. Our aim is to build community on and offline: sharing parenting information, resources and providing opportunities for our children and ourselves to meet other LGBTQ families in our area.

This is a network created especially for NYC LGBT parents interested in meeting other gay or gay friendly families for playgroups and socializing. "Love has no color, sex or reason...It's just love." (Quote from book entitled Empress) In a city so diverse, exciting and interesting as New York, let's meet and explore the richness of a location we and our children call home.

The Dyke March is a protest march, not a parade -- we don't ask for a permit, because we have the right to protest. We recognize that we must organize amongst ourselves to fight for our rights, our safety, and for visibility. Thousands of dykes take over the streets every year in celebration of LBTQ women and to protest against ongoing discrimination, harassment, and anti-LBTQ violence in schools, on the job, in our families, and on the streets.
